First blog

So, this is my very first blog! I have never really had any interest in it before, but I have read that its a good way to "get it all out". Plus, I can let others know how I am without having to update everyone individually. I'm an Army wife of 9 years this December and I'm the very proud mother of a 2 year old boy and a 3 month old girl. I don't have alot to blog about, but I will do what I can! My husband is deployed to Iraq and has been for 8 months. It sucks. He wasn't here for most of my pregnancy, or the birth. He just left after being home for 2 weeks for R&R. It was even harder seeing him go this time than the first. Probably because of the extension. Who knows? I do know that we miss him more everyday. Its hard being mommy, daddy, handyman, lawn care provider, grocery shopper, chauffer, cook, maid, teacher, potty trainer, and decision maker all rolled into one. But I wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world. He makes me the happiest person alive.

I'm in the middle of re-painting the kitchen right now. I decided I needed a project after he was gone, so I dove head first into this one. I'm about 1/4 of the way done. Taking it slowly and doing it the right way. Keeps me occupied and makes the time pass quickly.

I'm also in the midst of potty training a very stubborn two year old boy. Some days he gets it really well, and others, not so much. I'm ready to not have to change two kids diapers. Phew! That sucks royally!

Well, I guess that's my first blog. Not too bad if I do say so myself! :D
